I wrote feature articles on health for healthcare professionals for both print and online. I also engaged in editorial meetings and fact-checking stories. 
Intern, ScholasticMATH, DynaMath
I pitched, reported, and wrote news and feature math-based stories for elementary and middle school students. I also wrote and checked corresponding math problems and concepts.  
Intern, Spectrum
​I wrote news content describing cutting-edge autism research for researchers and families in the autism community. I also assisted the news editor with choosing articles to cover and pitched said articles at bi-weekly meetings.  
Research Assistant, Providence College 
​I studied the interactions of nanoplastics with lipids to mimic the effects of plastic pollution in the ocean with analytical chemistry. I blogged about the research with the highest readership of all Providence College bloggers. I also appeared on a college podcast to discuss the research and presented previous work at conferences. I'm also the first author on the paper: ​Abbott B.M. et al. BBA Biomembranes 1860, 1187-1192 (2018).
